Beyond Singing

As part of a portfolio career, Richard enjoys working in schools and the wider community to inspire others through making music.

Conducting

Alongside singing, Richard is a keen conductor and is the musical director for both Egham Choral and Bookham Choral Society. He also runs workshop days for local choirs and has recently been appointed as a practitioner for the Voices Foundation, which seeks to skill teachers to teach group singing.

Educational PROJECTS

Richard leads primary and secondary school educational projects for Leeds Lieder and Handel House.

Singing Teaching

Richard works as a singing teacher at Wellington College and organises the scholarship programme and conducts all the ensembles for the respected music department at Farnborough Sixth Form College.

campaigning

Richard spearheaded the campaign to Save the National Musicians’ Church from shutting its doors to musicians, gathering much press and social media attention. Consequently, he has helped create a new hub for church based rehearsal venues which can be found at www.musicianschurch.org
